On March 8, Utrecht University opened its doors for the Open Day, and of course, the catalysis researchers were well represented! Visitors got a firsthand look at how hydrogen is produced and discovered what catalysis is— the essential process that speeds up chemical reactions and makes them more sustainable.

We also showcased how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing catalysis. With smart algorithms, we design better catalysts, leading to more efficient chemical processes.
