Congratulations to Matt, Marta, Marianne, and Kris on publishing their first papers! Matt recently published in ACS Catalysis on bimetallic oxide-derived CuO–ZnO electrocatalysts. The authors found that cationic Cu species were stabilized by interaction with partially reduced ZnO, which affected the selectivity towards H2 and CO production. Marta recently published in Journal of Materials Chemistry A on the redistribution of Au and Pd in bimetallic core-shell particles in different gaseous atmospheres. The authors showed that in Au-core Pd-shell nanoparticles, exposure to an H2 or O2 atmosphere strongly affect the surface alloying dynamics. Marianne recently published in Nanoscale on Au/TiO2 inverse opal photocatalysts. The authors report a strategy for control over the placement of Au nanoparticles in or on the TiO2 matrix of inverse opal films, supported my electron tomography. Kris recently published in Journal of Catalysis on preparation of bimetallic Pd-Ni nanoparticles on a mesoporous silica support. The authors demonstrated that the choice of precursors changed the Pd-Ni intimacy in the prepared catalysts, which consequently affected the activity towards CO2 hydrogenation.
Great work by all of them, be sure to check out the articles!
